About the Company: The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and implementing effective financial controls. This role will be instrumental in optimizing working capital, streamlining accounting processes, and preparing the organization for future growth and potential acquisitions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial management, accounting policy, and process automation within a private equity-backed environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Financial Transition & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including cash flow management, PE partner reporting, and lender compliance within the first quarter post-close.
- Establish financial controls and reporting frameworks, aligning with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Optimize Working Capital & Financial Operations
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Align manual billing and collections processes to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and timely reconciliations.
- Inventory Management: Conduct audits to identify excess and obsolete stock, implementing policies for effective inventory control.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Implement streamlined invoice processing systems and optimize vendor payment schedules to enhance cash flow efficiency.
Implement an Efficient Closing Process
- Develop and execute a structured month-end close process, reducing the reporting timeline
- Establish a repository for financial documents, ensuring clarity and traceability in financial records.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to enhance visibility into EBITDA reconciliation and cost management strategies.
Strengthen the Finance & Accounting Team
- Develop and implement standardized accounting policies in collaboration with external advisors.
- Maintain strict oversight of treasury functions, ensuring appropriate cash utilization and debt management.
Drive Strategic Financial Initiatives & Future Integrations
- Identify and execute key financial initiatives to improve efficiency and support business growth.
- Establish frameworks for seamless integration of future acquisitions, focusing on standardized accounting procedures and financial reporting structures.
- Prepare the finance function to support long-term strategic objectives, ensuring adaptability for evolving business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Manufacturing industry experience
- 10 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in a private equity-backed company.
- Strong track record in financial reporting, transaction accounting, and cash flow management.
- Expertise in ERP system implementation and process automation.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive efficiency, and enhance financial transparency.
Salary : $200,000 - $230,000
