Position Summary

We’re seeking a Financial Analyst to join our North America FP&A team. In this role, you’ll build and maintain financial models, deliver high‑quality forecasting and analysis, translate data into clear insights for business partners, and help automate and improve core finance processes. You’ll thrive here if you combine analytical rigor with strong ownership, crisp communication, and a passion for enabling great decisions.

What You’ll Do

Forecasting & Modeling

  • Develop, maintain, and improve monthly sales, margin, and inventory forecasts—down to item level where appropriate.
  • Own and evolve driver‑based financial models that connect revenue, cost, and operating assumptions to P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow impacts.
  • Prepare inputs for monthly close, rolling forecast, AOP, and long‑range planning.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce and streamline recurring reporting (expense, KPI dashboards, channel/brand performance) using ERP and BI tools.
  • Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. forecast/plan), identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Research ad‑hoc business questions and quantify fiscal impacts with clear, decision‑ready deliverables.

Business Partnership & Communication

  • Partner closely with Sales and Department Managers to align on assumptions, track spend, and surface insights.
  • Communicate complex analyses in concise, audience‑appropriate narratives—written, visual, and verbal.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, or simplify core FP&A workflows.
  • Build durable templates and self‑service views; document logic and assumptions to ensure repeatability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science), or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years in FP&A, finance, or a quantitatively demanding role.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP/INDEX‑MATCH, PivotTables, nested functions; Power Query a plus).
  • Experience working with large datasets and at least one of: ERP (e.g., NetSuite) or BI tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI).
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving, attention to detail, time management, and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outdoor industry experience or enthusiasm for the category.
  • MBA and/or professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or equivalent).
  • Proven success operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and business partnering experience; ability to influence cross‑functionally.
  • Experience with item‑level forecasting and/or data tools (SQL, Python) is a plus.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Structures problems, validates data, and ties insights to financial outcomes.
  • Business Partnership: Builds trust, listens actively, and balances detail with decision context.
  • Communication: Turns analysis into clear narratives and recommendations.
  • Ownership & Judgment: Prioritizes effectively, meets deadlines, and escalates risks early.
  • Continuous Improvement: Automates, standardizes, and documents for scale.

Tools You’ll Use

  • Excel: Advanced functions, PivotTables; Power Query/Power Pivot preferred.
  • ERP: NetSuite
  • BI: Tableau

Collaboration: Microsoft 365 suite.
