Purpose Statement:
The Coordinator of Next Steps and Servant Leader Alignment plays a vital role in ensuring clear, consistent, and mission-driven communication within the church. This position supports and drives the initiatives given by the Director of Servant Leadership into actionable steps. Working closely with data and assimilation teams, the coordinator helps maintain a healthy, growing Next Steps process by ensuring people move from a guest to a Servant Leader and are effectively integrated and supported. This role is responsible for aligning internal messaging across teams, creating seamless communication flow, and helping servant leaders stay informed, connected, and empowered to fulfill the church’s vision. This role helps strengthen unity and clarity, and ensures everyone is moving together toward the same mission. They optimize processes, reinforce key messages, and create alignment that drives engagement and excellence for those involved at ELC through groups, teams, and classes.


Key Responsibilities:

Servant Leader Standards and Tactical Execution

  • Serve as a bridge between church leadership and servant leaders, ensuring that everyone stays aligned with the church’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Streamline communication between departments, ensuring that updates, initiatives, and expectations are clearly communicated and accessible.
  • Align systems and structures to support organizational goals, fostering a culture of empowerment and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategies that reinforce servant leadership values while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data and assimilation teams to assess organizational health, identify gaps, and refine processes that promote a thriving culture.
  • Support the execution of leadership development programs, training, and initiatives that enhance alignment and engagement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of alignment efforts and recommend improvements to enhance team cohesion and performance.
  • Highly involved with the implementation of the assimilation process.
  • Support the planning and execution of leadership meetings, team huddles, and trainings by ensuring clear communication and follow-through.



Internal Communicator and Alignment

  • Primary internal communication. This role connects internal initiatives with external ones.
  • Ensure seamless communication of vision, strategy, and directives from the Director of Servant Leadership across all relevant teams, groups, and ministries.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and various teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and follow-through on key initiatives.
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure staff and servant leaders receive consistent, clear, timely information.
  • Help foster a culture of connection, ensuring that servant leaders feel supported, valued, and informed at all times.
  • Manage communication platforms, email updates, and team-wide messaging to reduce confusion and enhance clarity.
  • Monitor how internal communication is received and adjust strategies to increase engagement and understanding.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to simplify complex information and communicate it clearly to large groups.
  • Passion for servant leadership and advancing the mission of the church.
  • Experience in internal communication, team coordination, or church leadership (preferred).
  • Proficiency in managing communication platforms (email, internal messaging systems, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate vision into clear, actionable steps.
  • Experience in systems alignment, strategic implementation, or organizational development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless coordination and engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret key cultural and operational metrics.
  • Passion for servant leadership principles and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace culture.
  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and heart of a servant leader.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have a desire and understanding of research, documentation, and policy development.
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Excellent relational, communication, and organizational skills; maintains a positive, can-do attitude; values personal growth and development; and demonstrates passion for positive change/willingness to grow and change with ELC.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal formats and build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
  • Strong project management or organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Office Suite
