With a growing portfolio of practices across the country, we are committed to delivering outstanding support to our partners while preserving the integrity of patient care.Position SummaryThe Specialty Services Director is responsible for leading, optimizing, and scaling Elevate Eyecares specialty programs, including Digital Optometrics and dry eye clinics. This role ensures operational excellence, financial performance, clinical outcomes, and patient experience are aligned. The Specialty Services Director will drive consistent appointment results, KPI performance, billing management, and new revenue growth across all specialty service locations.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial LeadershipOwn and oversee all specialty service programs across the organization.Set and manage annual revenue, profit, and growth targets.Build and maintain ROI models, dashboards, and reporting for digital optometry and dry eye services.Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain to manage pricing, vendor rebates, and profitability tracking.Operational ExecutionStandardize processes across digital optometry locations, dry eye clinics, and future specialty service lines.Monitor scheduling accuracy, exam coding, capture rates, referral outcomes, and treatment plan conversions.Improve utilization of specialty equipment (e.g., LipiFlow, IPL, diagnostic technologies).Ensure General Managers and field teams receive proper training and adhere to organizational policies.Lead implementation of company-wide selling strategies within specialty service locations.Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional patient experiences and specialty brand standards.Establish staffing and performance benchmarks for specialty offices.Clinical & Patient ExperienceConduct weekly 1:1 meetings with the Director of Operations, Sr. VP of Optometry, RDLs, RDs, and other leaders as needed.Partner with RDLs and ODs to refine treatment protocols and patient care pathways.Review clinical outcomes and drive improvement strategies.Collaborate with Marketing on patient education initiatives and specialty service awareness campaigns.Leadership & Team DevelopmentProvide active coaching to General Managers, District Managers, Regional Directors, and Regional Doctor Leaders.Support development of local specialty teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment.Oversee continuing education initiatives within specialty offices.Partner with Learning & Development to create and refine training resources and tools.Lead, mentor, and develop specialty service managers.Coordinate specialty training for GMs, ODs, and technicians using internal Subject Matter Experts.Represent specialty services in leadership meetings and champion organizational growth initiatives.Collaborate with field and support teams to ensure consistent delivery of services.Organizational & ComplianceRecommend and support implementation of new specialty technologies and equipment.Lead meetings with field teams, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality policies.Monitor adherence to specialty service policies, protocols, and clinical standards.Manage specialty supply inventory and operational needs.Ensure specialty locations maintain a clean, safe, organized, and patient-friendly environment.Communicate operational needs, risks, and issues to the Director of Operations.Maintain presence across all regions; 50u% travel required.Perform additional duties as assigned to support company growthQualificationsTechnical Skills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.High proficiency in data analysis, KPI management, and general computer/software competency.Effective judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience in training, process implementation, and operational rollouts.Working knowledge of optical products, diagnostic tools, repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting.Understanding of vision and medical insurance, billing practices, and documentation.Preferred Experience & BackgroundBachelors degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.Leadership experience in optometry, ophthalmology, dry eye services, digital optometry, or healthcare operations.Experience managing multi-location clinical or specialty programs.Proven ability to build teams, manage performance, and lead large-scale operational initiatives.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, multi-state organization.Willingness and ability to travel extensively to support field teams.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Generous PTO and paid holidaysEmployee eyewear benefitsProfessional growth and leadership development opportunitiesA collaborative, mission-driven culture
