Responsibilities
- Install, connect, test, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and systems in industrial and commercial environments
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or during renovation projects
- Diagnose faults within industrial electrical systems and implement effective solutions promptly
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion of electrical installations and upgrades
Skills
- Extensive experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Ability to handle high-voltage wiring safely while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, electrical blueprint reading, and electrical wiring techniques
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and construction site safety procedures
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and renovation or construction site experience is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving electrical issues efficiently
