Client Overview

This is a large, established manufacturing operation with a strong presence in specialty materials and industrial processing. The Hickory facility focuses on precision materials production, where consistent process control and quality standards drive output. You would be joining a technical support team responsible for keeping production processes running within tight specifications.

• Process monitoring and control (temperature, pressure, density, viscosity)
• Material processing techniques (cutting, shaping, surface treatment operations)
• Technical documentation and procedure adherence

What You'll Do

• Monitor and measure key process variables throughout production stages
• Plan sequencing for material preparation, cutting, and shaping operations
• Support process steps such as washing, laminating, etching, polishing, or plating
• Conduct routine tests to verify process control and product specifications
• Follow established procedures for material processing operations
• Identify and propose solutions to routine process issues
• Escalate complex or atypical problems to senior technical staff or engineers
• Recommend adjustments to improve process efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of test results and process measurements
• Work under site supervision following defined instructions for routine tasks

What We Need From You

• Associate degree in a technical or science related field, or equivalent experience
• 0 to 3 years of relevant manufacturing or process technician experience
• Ability to understand and apply general technical terminology and procedures
• Ability to work within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality
• Comfortable working under close supervision with defined procedures

Preferred / Bonus

• AAS in Engineering Technology, Materials Science, or related discipline
• Prior experience in a regulated or specialty materials manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with statistical process control or quality measurement tools
