Our client is one of the world's largest paper and packaging companies, making the boxes, paperboard, and packaging that products ship in every day. This role is in their research and development lab outside Richmond, where new materials and packaging ideas get tested before they go to customers.

What You'll Do
- Run qualitative and quantitative tests on paper, paperboard, and packaging materials
- Operate and calibrate lab equipment safely, with direct supervision during training
- Learn new test methods as R&D projects call for them
- Enter and organize test results in spreadsheets
- Write up and share findings with the people who requested the testing
- Help the team on larger projects across the lab, pilot plant, and production areas
- Follow safe work practices and report any safety concerns
What We Need From You
- High school diploma
- 0 2 years of lab testing or manufacturing experience (we'll train the right person)
- Comfort with basic computer work, especially entering data into spreadsheets
- Ability to lift and carry samples up to 50 lbs and work in lab, pilot plant, and production settings
- Ability to pass full pre-start clearance before your first day
Preferred / Bonus
- Associate degree or technical training
- Lab testing experience on machines and equipment rather than clinical or medical testing
- Experience in the paper or packaging industry
- Familiarity with papermaking or paperboard products
Salary : $20 - $22
