What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Website UX Audit and Donation Flow Optimization position at ELEPHATION?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Work with a volunteer to evaluate the current website and recommend changes that make complex information easier to understand and simplify the path to donate. Deliverables may include content and information-architecture recommendations, suggested call-to-action improvements, and guidance for a clearer donation flow. Specifics will be discussed with volunteers.
Clearer content and an improved donation path will help raise support for our work training and caring for captive elephants. Volunteers will help us better explain positive reinforcement, enrichment, and welfare practices to visitors and make it easier for donors to fund that work, directly supporting mahouts, trainers, and elephants.
Details will be provided during volunteer interviews. Elephation founder, Chrissy Pratt, will be an engaged pro-bono partner, share context about our goals, and work collaboratively to review and prioritize volunteer recommendations so our team can implement them after the project.
Elephation Mission: Promoting the compassionate application of operant conditioning principles to improve the lives of captive elephants and their caretakers by fostering relationships built on mutual trust, respect, and freedom of choice. What does this mean? We work directly with mahouts, trainers, and owners to reframe the working relationship between human and elephant through positive reinforcement training, enrichment, and high standards of welfare.
