Position Summary

The Center Support Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serves a dual function within the center. In the morning, this position operates as a free person, providing flexible support across the center as needed. In the afternoon, the RBT carries a part-time client assignment, delivering direct ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This structure requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively with any client in the center.

This position requires a current RBT certification and a minimum of one year of experience providing ABA services. The RBT must be comfortable working with all clients in the center, regardless of diagnosis, severity, or behavioral profile. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to shift seamlessly between a support role and direct therapy within a single shift.

Schedule & Role Structure

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

  • Morning (approx. 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM): Free person role. The RBT provides flexible center support including coverage for absent staff, breaks, transitions, group facilitation, and other clinical needs as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Afternoon (approx. 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Direct therapy role. The RBT carries a part-time client assignment and delivers one-on-one or small group ABA services per assigned programming.
  • Must be comfortable working with any client in the center and may be asked to provide direct support to clients outside their assigned caseload during the morning free person block.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Collect and record data on patient behavior.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and family.
  • Carry out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attend training to acquire further knowledge.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing and grooming, hair, and make-up as interpreted by Eleos ABA LLC.

Basic & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within Maryland.
  • Must have a valid Maryland Driver’s License & insurance in good standing

Experience

  • Required: Current RBT certification and a minimum of one (1) year of experience providing ABA services
  • Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-16 in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; experience working in an educational setting, Speech setting, or related field.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and

Hearing Services, or related field.

Related Background Checks and Training

  • Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, Fingerprinting & Background Checks, and other company in-services and training as directed by employment supervisor. Active RBT certification must be maintained throughout employment
