We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting food service operations. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a restaurant setting and be committed to maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
About Us
Elena’s Noodle Bar is an anime themed noodle and boba shop. We serve a variety of Asian dishes and specialty drinks, mainly priding ourselves on our noodles and fun environment centered around manga, anime, and Japanese pop culture. Our hours of operation are Sunday 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Closed for an hour break) 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely and quality service
- Support cooking activities under supervision, helping to prepare ingredients and assemble dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support food service operations by setting up serving areas and assisting staff as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to perform duties efficiently and thoroughly
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
