Role Description The Skincare Consultant role is a part-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. In this role, the consultant provides personalized skincare consultations, assesses individual skin concerns, and recommends suitable ELEMIS products and treatments. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with customers on the sales floor, demonstrating product usage, performing basic skincare rituals, and supporting in-store events and promotions. The consultant also ensures product displays are well-maintained, assists with inventory checks, and contributes to achieving sales targets while delivering a high standard of customer service. Collaboration with store leadership and adherence to brand guidelines are essential to maintaining a consistent and premium customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, to build trust, educate customers, and provide a welcoming in-store experience.
- Solid Product Knowledge and Skin Care expertise to explain ingredients, benefits, and usage and to tailor recommendations to diverse skin types and concerns.
- Background or training in Cosmetology or a related field, with the ability to perform basic skincare rituals and product demonstrations in a professional manner.
- Ability to work part-time, including weekends and peak retail hours, with reliability, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Experience in retail, luxury beauty, or spa environments is beneficial, along with familiarity with sales goals and point-of-sale systems.
