IT Systems Specialist
Elemetal is one of the largest precious metal dealers in the United States and seeks an individual to fill the position of IT Systems Specialist. This role reports directly to the Manager of our IT department and will be one of the company’s primary on-site IT technicians and work with our business’s full-service, 3rd party IT provider.
Elemetal is looking for someone who thrives both as part of a team and working independently. This role involves up to 50% travel nationwide, visiting and modernizing IT infrastructure across our 50 locations. Candidates should be comfortable with air and rental car travel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent IT work experience 1 years
- CompTIA A or similar certifications preferred but not required
- Proficient in troubleshooting and supporting Windows 10/11 and the M365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical employees
- Advanced level knowledge in the use of all M365 products
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including wireless setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with IT hardware, cabling, switches, firewalls, access points, and security cameras
- Self-motivated and willing to learn, as well as always find the solution
- Ability to work onsite and travel across the country by plane & rental car
- Reside in DFW, TX
Responsibilities
- Assist all employees with any computer or IT related issues
- Create, add and modify user accounts and services across our various cloud platforms
- Assist users over the phone, in-person, and remotely using multiple platforms
- Facilitate administration of Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, Office365, firewalls, email filter, backups, phone systems, mobile devices, and any other IT-related software
- M365 support setting up devices and email clients, tablets, mobile phones, and computers
- Configure, deploy, and relocate workstations, printers, cameras and any other related devices
- Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and document end-user system issues requests
- Ensure all requests are resolved promptly and with high-quality results
- Provide technical documentation for configurations and procedures
- Regularly perform cabling and equipment installation
- Open and follow up with tech support from vendors such as internet providers, consultants, etc.
- Research, design and deploy new solutions required by end-users.
