Hot Tub & Building Maintenance Technician needed for 4-5 nights a week (Sun-Wed). The shift runs from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM (flexible start, must finish before 7:00 AM). Duties include hot tub draining, refilling, chemical balancing, handyman repairs, building maintenance, and spa deep cleaning.
Position Overview
- Schedule: 4-5 nights per week (Sunday–Wednesday plus an optional 5th night or extended shifts).
- Hours: 11:00 PM – 3:00 AM ideal (must finish before 7:00 AM).
- Commitment: Year-round, open 364 days a year (including holidays and winter weather).
- Training: Provided for hot tub maintenance and chemical balancing.
Key Responsibilities
- Hot Tub Maintenance: Drain, disinfect, refill, and balance chemicals for two indoor and two outdoor hot tubs. Clean wood decks, tile floors, showers, and tub room walls.
- Handyman & Repairs: Replace hot tub jets, troubleshoot equipment, research parts, and handle minor facility repairs involving carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
- Inspections & Collaboration: Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Collaborate with the manager/owner to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate records of tub & equipment maintenance performed and materials used. Maintain inventory of hot tubs, facilities, and maintenance supplies.
- Facility Upkeep: Clean tub rooms, remove oil residue from floors, walls, and equipment in massage rooms, bathrooms, and lobby.
- Building Maintenance: Perform minor fixes around the spa, weeding, branch trimming, window cleaning, gutter clearing, dryer vent cleaning, and snow removal.
- On-Call Flexibility: Cover occasional shifts when team members call out or extend shifts for troubleshooting.
Requirements & Skills
- Reliability: Strict attendance requirement to show up for every shift on time.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying excellent time management and high attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness: Willingness to research and figure out minor fixes/repairs independently.
- Physical Demands: High stamina, strength for manual labor, and physical mobility to jump on the upper deck, reach tight spaces, and squat.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
