About the Role We’re looking for a highly organized, analytical, and execution-focused professional to join our team as Benefits Analyst / Project Coordinator (12-Month Contract). In this role, you will support a major Canadian benefits and retirement platform implementation and transition initiative, with a strong focus on Workday HCM and Payroll integrations and downstream operational impacts. You will partner closely with People Services, Payroll, Finance, Workday, and external vendors to coordinate project activities, drive follow-ups, support testing and reconciliation efforts, and help ensure successful implementation and stabilization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex workstreams, collaborating across teams, and keeping projects moving forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment while also supporting day-to-day benefits operations and employee experience initiatives. What You’ll Do Support the delivery of key People Services priorities, including coordination of the Canadian benefits and retirement vendor/platform implementation and transition and related Workday activities Coordinate cross-functional activities, action items, timelines, stakeholder follow-ups, and internal meetings to support successful project execution Maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and status reporting while partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout implementation and stabilization activities Support implementation planning, data mapping, file specifications, data conversion, validation, testing, and cutover readiness activities for the Canadian benefits administration platform Assist with Canadian retirement plan administration activities, including reconciliation, implementation support, governance deliverables, and post-launch stabilization Serve as a day-to-day contact for Canadian benefits and retirement vendors and coordinate issue tracking, triage, escalation, and resolution activities Validate eligibility, enrollment, deduction outputs, and support invoice reconciliation, variance investigation, and operational reporting Provide hands-on payroll support related to benefits and retirement changes, including deduction validation, interface troubleshooting, retroactivity adjustments, and reconciliation activities Document implementation decisions, end-to-end processes, and SOPs to support sustainable operations post go-live Support employee communications, job aids, information sessions, and inquiry management during enrollment, cutover, and stabilization activities Basic Qualifications 3–5 years of experience supporting benefits administration/operations, HR operations, payroll support, implementation activities, and/or project coordination, including experience supporting a vendor or platform transition Strong organizational, analytical, project coordination, and follow-through skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and partners Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data validation, reconciliation, and pivot tables, with proficiency in PowerPoint and Word Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Human Resources, or related field Experience supporting Canadian employee benefits and retirement programs preferred Experience supporting Workday benefits or payroll implementations, integrations, configuration activities, or related testing strongly preferred Experience with benefits/payroll integrations, deductions, vendor file feeds, reconciliation activities, and downstream payroll impacts is a strong asset Understanding of benefits and retirement platforms and integrated HR/payroll processes Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Location: Toronto This is a 12-month contract opportunity with potential for longer-term opportunities based on business needs and individual performance. The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 to $104,900 CAD annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
