What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Building Assistant position at Elementary?
Provide assistance to the Administrative Assistant in the main office by taking student attendance and providing clerical support as needed. Provide supervision to elementary students during recess and lunch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with the day-to-day operations of the main office such as answering phone calls and filing paperwork.
* Enter attendance and prepare attendance reports as required if necessary
* Provide clerical assistance as requested.
* Responsible for monitoring elementary students at recess and lunch.
* Monitor indoor recess when applicable.
* Collaboration with fellow office staff members.

Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* Effective interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and a desire to work with children
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
* 10 months, part-time
* 4 1/2 hours per day (11:15 am to 3:45 pm)
* $22.03 per hour after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period (pending contract negotiations)
