What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Teacher position at Elementary School?
Mendon Elementary is hiring a fourth-grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate - with elementary certification
- Ability to communicate and work with special education teachers to coordinate the implementation of IEP goals, including accommodations and modifications in the classroom setting
- Knowledge of Common Core State Standards and experience in administering and interpreting assessments (NWEA, Acadience, STAR, state assessments, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience in highly engaging instructional strategies, including the use of technology
Responsibilities:
- Utilize highly effective, engaging strategies in the classroom
- Communicate well with parents
- Collaborate effectively with Special Education teachers and administrators
- Ability to work well with coaches, mentors, and colleagues
