Runge Independent School District, a proud rural district in South Texas, is searching for an exceptional educational leader to serve as the Principal of Runge Elementary School (Grades PK–5). We are seeking a visionary instructional leader who is passionate about early childhood and elementary education and skilled at fostering a campus culture that supports the growth and well-being of both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the campus with a clear focus on student achievement, whole-child development, and a positive school climate.

Foster a collaborative, high-performing instructional team with an emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and data-driven decision-making.

Promote family and community engagement to support student learning and school improvement goals.

Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal accountability standards, and the Texas Education Code.
Preferred Qualifications:

Texas principal certification

Minimum of 3 years of campus or district-level leadership experience

Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes

Strong knowledge of early literacy, RTI, and trauma-informed practices

Experience leading PLCs and implementing research-based instructional practices
