Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Electronics Production Technician to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and inspection of electronic and electromechanical components used in our scientific instruments and automation systems.
This role works at our Omaha headquarters and plays an important part in ensuring products meet quality, reliability, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electronic and electromechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Perform functional testing and inspection using meters, test fixtures, and tools
- Follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly or equipment issues
- Maintain accurate build and production records
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist in continuous improvement of production and testing processes
- Support other production activities as needed
Qualifications -
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic electronics or electrical assembly skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs regularly
- Able to stand for extended periods (up to ~6 hours/day)
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Technology
- 2 years’ experience in electronics assembly, production, or testing
