Salary

At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location; for this position, the annual base salary target range is $21 - $24/hr, with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.

Position Summary

Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.

Core Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
  • Other - Perform other duties as assigned
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition of materials against packing slips
  • Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers, vendors, and internal locations
  • Organize and maintain shipping and receiving areas to ensure efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety.
  • Basic environmental department maintenance, minor plumbing, painting, lighting, assembly, and general building upkeep.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely while completing assigned maintenance and repair tasks.

Core Requirements

  • Under close supervision, able to complete basic technical and mechanical procedures
  • Some interaction with clients
  • Able to assist with basic troubleshooting and basic interpretation and analysis of test results
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
  • Basic mechanical skills; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits

Minimum Education And Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred
  • 0-3 Years of Experience

Working Conditions

Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
