What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer position at Element Technical Services?
Field Engineers will be the technical representative for Element at the job site. Engineers will have a thorough knowledge of hydraulic fracturing principles and operations to help assist the on-site operational staff. They will be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed to customers request and promote customer relations in the field. Job Duties
- Interacts with the customers at the job site and assists in providing any technical or operational solutions
- Operates real time monitoring software in the datavan
- Performs and oversees QAQC fluid testing in the lab and on location
- Track inventory of fluids, chemical, and proppant at the job site
- Performs mathematical calculations as required for stimulation operations
- Records job information into excel workbook
- Prepares and distributes reports and post well summaries
- Responsible for billing customer for services and materials
- Troubleshoot fluid, computer, and operational issues
- Assist operations with rig up/rig down procedures as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Math and Science related degrees preferred, but not required
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Must have strong computer skills
- Willing to work a rotational schedule in the field
- Satisfactory driving record

Preferred Requirements
- >1 year of oil and gas industry experience
- 1–2 years of hydraulic fracturing experience
- Experience with Power BI, SpotFire, Python, or other data analysis tools
Work Conditions
- Rotation schedules vary (14/14, 20/10, 14/7)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Travel to off-site locations required
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. coveralls, steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Hazards associated with the trade
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
