Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install a variety of building materials including siding, windows, framing, decking and interior trim.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Support site cleanup and organization to promote a safe working environment while ensuring materials are stored properly for easy access.
Skills
- 2 years of experience in construction site work with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Skilled in various carpentry disciplines including framing, interior trim, window installation and siding installation.
- Experience operating power tools such as saws, drills, sanders along with heavy equipment operation when necessary.
- Basic math skills including dimensional measurements using tape measures for precise cuts.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and demanding physical tasks required on construction sites.
