Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Manage the full project lifecycle: scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and implement client plans that align with business and market goals.
Oversee multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Prepare project change orders, manage billing, and support fee collection when needed.
Guide team efficiency and profitability through smart workflow management.
Attend and represent the firm at client meetings, public hearings, and industry events.
Client Development & Market Growth:
Actively pursue new business opportunities in the energy sector.
Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients.
Represent the firm as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor in energy markets.
Assist in strategic planning and market analysis to support growth.
Team Management & Mentorship:
Supervise and develop direct reports; identify skills gaps and training needs.
Establish performance standards and provide coaching to ensure success.
Coordinate internal efforts across disciplines to provide seamless client service.
Oversee work of subconsultants and internal technical resources.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (ABET-accredited or equivalent experience).
10 years of experience working in or managing energy-related projects.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and common project management tools.
Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and client relationships in a consulting environment.
Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent energy-related credentials.
PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or CEM (Certified Energy Manager) certification.
Experience with national or regional energy companies and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).
Familiarity with energy project design, construction, and/or field implementation.
Experience with public-sector clients at the county or state level.
