Part Time Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has excellent time management skills, able to prioritize daily tasks, takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance including caulking and grouting, responding to repair requests, completing work orders, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel. Experience with general building maintenance, including painting, basic plumbing, electrical repairs, drywall, and professionally grouting and caulking showers and tile is required. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional guest service are essential. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine maintenance in public spaces, meeting rooms, back of the house spaces, pool, and grounds
• Maintain rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed
• Understand the room preventative maintenance program
• Repairs televisions, phones, clock radios, etc.
• Replace or repairs damaged bathroom fixtures and executes general plumbing as needed
• Maintain the overall appearance of the room; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch up painting, etc.
• Troubleshoot rooms heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
• Use both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel as well as, including both the front of the house, interior and exterior
• Maintain the condition of the hotel lobbies and restaurants, repairs furniture and decorations as necessary
• Repair and maintains kitchen and laundry/housekeeping equipment
• Maintain exterior of building and grounds as necessary
• Perform routine pool operations
• Maintain operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs
• Maintain and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area
• Demonstrate familiarity with the hotel’s safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotel
• Report any hazards or injuries in the department and takes immediate action to correct
• Contribute to hotels preparedness during fire emergencies by participating in the hotel fire team
• Handle master keys in accordance with Company’s standards for the overall safety and security of the hotel

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
