Position: Fine Wire Machine Operator

Schedule: 3 12 Hour Night Shifts (7pm-7am) rotating on a 4 week schedule

Training is done on 1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm for 3-6 months

Pay: Training rate starts at $22.22 and increases to a maximum of $31.79 per hour

You will receive a $2.81 shift differential once moved to night shift.

SUMMARY

Elektrisola Incorporated, the world’s leading producer of fine and ultrafine enameled copper wire has an opportunity for a full-time Fine Wire Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this position, the Fine Wire Machine Operator draws wire on assigned machines Obtains correct gauge wires or spools from storage areas. Loads machines using mechanical devices to assist. Welds wire ends. Threads wire through dies as required. Removes filled spools and places empty spools on wind-up spindles. Inspects wire for all quality and specification standards before insulation. Completes necessary paperwork. Wraps spools. Uses mechanical handling devices to assist in spool changes. Monitors machines for uniform winding on spools. Checks wire gauges and notifies foreman of machine malfunctions of off-spec materials. Continuously monitors equipment condition. Keeps equipment continuously clean and keeps the floor clean in the assigned area. Performs other work as assigned by supervisor. Complies with Company rules and safety policies.

REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Must pass pre-employment physical (hearing and vision exam) and criminal background check.
