Role Description:
The National Account Sales Manager is a full-time role based in the USA, responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key national accounts across target industry of Material Handing Electric Vehicles (Forklifts). This role leads the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution presentation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and account growth for Electrovaya’s battery and energy storage solutions. The National Account Sales Manager collaborates closely with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to align technical capabilities with customer requirements and ensure successful deployment and ongoing support. Day-to-day activities include building and executing account plans, forecasting and reporting pipeline and revenue, analyzing market trends and competitor activity, and representing Electrovaya at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows. The role carries measurable revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets and requires consistent on-site presence to engage with internal stakeholders and visiting customers.
In this role, the day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Negotiate and close sales agreements with customers for Electrovaya’s existing and forthcoming motive power products in North America and beyond
- Establish and maintain long term relationships with major and National accounts with emphasis on customers of Hyster Yale, Crown, Toyota, and Raymond vehicles
- Comprehend and translate customer’s power needs to compatible and suitable battery and charger models
- Provide power equipment recommendations based on power study results. If power study results are not available, be able to make recommendations based on existing power solutions, work-break structures, and load profiles
- Conduct market research on an on-going basis to stay knowledgeable within the industry and market and provide manager with timely, competitive information
- Work closely with Electrovaya’s Business Development and Operations teams for pre-sale and post-sale support (i.e. quote review/approval, order acknowledgement and fulfillment)
- Liaise with Engineering/Product Planning team of any required customization or special requirements or new product launches for customers
- Support new installation projects through Electrovaya’s Service Team
- Prepare relevant documentation including Proposals, Return on Investment calculations for customers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Record sales activities using an Electrovaya designated CRM software (Hubspot)
- Be prepared to travel to customer sites in North America and overseas if required
- Assist in the setup and subsequent attendance of trade shows
- Will only provide services to Electrovaya and be exclusive to Electrovaya
- Other tasks as assigned by the current VP of Business Development
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 10 years of sales experience with strong communication (oral and written) skills and customer service skills
- Experience with CRM tools such as Hubspot
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work as part of a team
- Coachable with a positive, can do and will do spirit

Compensation:
- Structure 1: Base salary of $100,000 USD. 1.5% commission (uncapped)
- Structure 2: No base salary; 5% commission (uncapped)
- Bonus: if the company reaches the its projected revenue targets for the MHE business in the calendar year, a $bonus will be awarded
