Facilities Manager - Manufacturing

Electroswitch is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the maintenance, reliability, and improvement of our Weymouth manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for a facilities professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on manufacturing environment and understands that effective facilities leadership requires both planning for the long term and being present on the floor when issues arise.

The Facilities Manager will oversee building infrastructure, preventive maintenance, contractors and vendors, capital improvements, and day-to-day facility needs while partnering closely with Operations and other departments to support a safe, reliable, and productive manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and improvement of the manufacturing facility.
• Oversee critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and related infrastructure.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing machinery and production equipment, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
• Identify facility and equipment issues before they become operational problems and drive corrective actions.
• Manage facility upgrades, renovations, infrastructure improvements, and capital projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate and manage outside contractors, service providers, and vendors.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to minimize downtime and support production requirements.
• Help establish priorities, budgets, project schedules, and longer-term facility improvement plans.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, procedures, and records related to facilities activities.
• Support workplace safety, regulatory compliance, inspections, and facility-related EH&S initiatives.
• Provide leadership and direction to facilities personnel while remaining willing to be hands-on when circumstances require it.

What We're Looking For

• Strong facilities management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing machinery, production equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Experience troubleshooting facility and equipment-related issues and coordinating repairs.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Experience planning and executing capital projects and facility improvements.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with the day-to-day needs of an active manufacturing operation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to spend time in the manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous facilities leadership experience within a manufacturing organization.
• Experience with older manufacturing facilities, infrastructure, or equipment and modernization/improvement projects.
• Experience developing or improving preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with OSHA and applicable environmental, safety, and facility compliance requirements.
• Facilities management, engineering, mechanical, electrical, or related technical education or certifications are a plus.
