Material Handler

2nd Shift Position
1:00 PM - 10:15 PM Monday thru Thursday
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Fridays

**$2.00/hr shift differential added to base pay listed**

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pick, kit, deliver and transaction into system orders for user departments. Count and deliver floor items, shortages and picks from material requisitions and as requested to designated areas.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Kit jobs for assembly departments and enter transaction.
• Fill material requisitions and deliver parts to designated areas.
• Manually count or utilize electronic counting scales to count and deliver floor items.
• Provide service at stockroom window as requested.
• Stock newly received parts as requested by storekeeper and or Weymouth receiving.
• Return over-issues returned by assembly.
• Assist in taking of physical inventory.
• Assist with material movement as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with scrapping of obsolete materials.
• Operate company vehicles.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school degree with basic math knowledge.
• Three (3) months to one (1) year of work experience.
• Must be capable of lifting 5-25 lbs. on a continuous basis.
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Combination of Manufacturing and Office environment.
• Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and odors.
