Production Support Lead
Position Overview
The Production Support Lead serves as the senior technical authority responsible for overseeing the operational stability, performance, and compliance of data and analytics systems. This role provides leadership for production support activities, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with contractual and operational requirements.
The Production Support Lead brings extensive experience managing Data and/or Analytics operational and compliance tasks and leads teams responsible for day-to-day system operations and incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior lead for production support and operational management of data and analytics systems.
- Oversee monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis for production environments
- Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability in accordance with service level requirements
- Lead operational compliance activities, including adherence to security, data governance, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate production support efforts across on-premises and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and support documentation
- Lead and support system patching, upgrades, and release coordination to minimize operational risk
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and program management teams to support continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to production support and operations staff
- Support operational reporting, audits, and reviews.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling and data analytics in a complex data environment, with experience leading data and/or solutions architects.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Treasury government clearance.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a senior engineer or lead in production support or operations roles
- Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics systems, and enterprise IT operations
- Proven ability to manage complex operational environments and ensure compliance with established standards
- Experience working within PWS-driven, contract-based delivery environments.
- Experience with operational monitoring, incident management, and IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL)
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid data environments
- Experience supporting security, compliance, and audit activities
