REGISTERED NURSE - EP LAB - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Full-Time Benefit Eligible
Schedule: Monday-Friday position 6:30am-3:00pm. No weekend or holiday coverage. Call component consisting of finishing the day, not overnight call. Late shift is about 2-3 times a week.
Unit Description:
Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Electrophysiology Cath Lab is a 2-Lab department that conducts approximately 3-6 procedures per day (with growth and increased volume anticipated soon!). Our patient population is strictly adults (18 years and older), both inpatient and outpatient, that are admitted via our inpatient units, observation unit, or directly via the Emergency Department. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, no weekends or holidays required. We do require on call coverage, including finishing the day, but overnight coverage is not required.
We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Registered Nurses, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialists and Unit Support. Our unit fosters a growth mindset through annual and on-going education. If you are a Registered Nurse with at least one year of prior critical care or cardiology experience, we want to meet you!
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Critical Care nursing experience
