Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and multitasking Receiving and Shipping Specialist with the ability to assist in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCBs), wire harnesses, and cables. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving and shipping processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries. Additionally, they will contribute to the assembly and manufacturing of PCB assemblies and cables, demonstrating technical skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Shipping:
• Receive incoming shipments, inspecting and verifying the contents against purchase orders or packing lists.
• Prepare and process outbound shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Manage inventory in the receiving and shipping area, organizing stock, and maintaining appropriate records.
2. Assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs):
• Assist in the assembly of PCBs by soldering components, placing parts, and mounting components onto circuit boards.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify and rectify defects, ensuring products meet quality standards.
• Operate assembly equipment and machinery, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
3. Wire Harness and Cable Assembly:
• Participate in the assembly of wire harnesses and cables, following engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strip, crimp, and terminate wires accurately to create reliable connections.
• Conduct testing and quality checks on finished wire assemblies to ensure functionality.
4. Quality Assurance:
• Adhere to strict quality control measures during assembly and shipping processes.
• Report any product defects, shipping discrepancies, or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance assembly and shipping efficiency.
5. Safety and Compliance:
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies while working in the receiving, shipping, and assembly areas.
• Handle hazardous materials and electronic components in accordance with safety guidelines.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant training in electronics assembly is a plus.
• Proven experience in receiving, shipping, and logistics operations.
• Familiarity with electronics assembly processes, including PCB assembly, wire harnessing, and cable assembly.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components and their identification.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering irons, and assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and assembling electronic components.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
