You will work alongside senior engineers and scientists to acquire hands-on experience in data infrastructure and engineering practices in support of a DoW Artificial Intelligence initiative. In this position, you will develop and maintain data pipelines and perform data analysis on GEOINT datasets, gaining experience with end-to-end data engineering processes.

Job Description:

- Extract, transform and standardize data to prepare for ingest into Machine Learning (ML) development environments
- Assist with the design and development of data services
- Document data processes and workflows
- Complete data analyses, catering results to leadership in a holistic and easy-to-understand way
- Help ensure data quality and accuracy to support reliable analytics and insights
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully under changing priorities and deadlines

Required Skills
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or an equivalent field
- Experience with Python and SQL
- Experience transforming and manipulating data sets
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data management concepts
- Experience working with cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
- Experience with Databricks or Gitlab
- Experience with data visualization tools
