Job Description

ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Senior Data Engineer to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice in Washington, DC .

We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As the Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data science related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with the implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in a mission-critical response operations environment.

• Collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non - technical personnel, to understand their data needs, suggest solutions, and complete assigned work in a timely manner
• Support data analytics tasks and projects using Python
• Support and lead data visualization tasks/projects
• Lead the design, development and maintenance of dashboards
• Identify, recommend remedies, and/or implement new ideas that enhance existing solutions and capabilities
• Develop write-ups, visualizations, infographics, and charts to communicate results and associated findings

Salary Range: $175,000 - $215,000

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting data analytics projects using Python and Angular
• Demonstrated experience developing in a Micro services environment
• Experience with Data Visualization
• Experiencing designing and implementing dashboards
• Working knowledge and experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Ability to discuss and derive real requirements from non-technical customers and then build into relative tasks.
• Great communication skills

Desired Skills

• Experience supporting Extract Transform Load (ETL) tasks
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitLab
• Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Develop data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Evaluate reusability of current data for additional analyses.
• Review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
