Electronic Coating Technologies (ECT), based in Ontario, Canada and Saratoga County, New York, is a growing solutions provider for manufacturers looking to protect critical electronic components. We offer in-house manufacturing solutions for conformal coating, potting, encapsulation and form-in-place gaskets. We also distribute materials and equipment used in electronics manufacturing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support ECT manufacturing operations by providing technical support for coating and encapsulation processes and equipment;
- Manage technical projects to validate manufacturing processes, equipment changes and customer technical requirements;
- Continually optimize plant operations to increase efficiencies and quality levels throughout;
- Coordinate material and process trials as needed to support new product introductions and customer initiatives, including validation of project objectives, developing test matrices and parameters, data collection and analysis, and reporting test results and recommendations;
- Support customer manufacturing launches by assessing process efficiencies, cost and resource demands, proposing alternative approaches as appropriate;
- Build product use capabilities by providing in-house technical guidance to production and sales teams, channel partners, internal stakeholders and external customers;
- Provide diligent, timely support to the Engineering team, sales efforts and customers by telephone, chat, video presentations or online interface;
- Work with stakeholders to optimize application recommendations, evaluate process technology proposals and support quoting efforts for new/existing business opportunities;
- Assess efficiencies, costs and resources required for project requests, proposing alternative approaches as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Technical education preferred;
- Ability to read technical drawings;
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering setting with production operations and technical processes;
- 2 years of experience in specialty materials or specialty chemicals preferred;
- 2 years of experience in technical customer interface and support preferred;
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is preferred;
- Precise, detail-oriented with a thirst for understanding and trying new things;
- Ability to work in a team-centered environment;
- Able to work independently when required;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.
