Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity.
• Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising efforts.
• Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer understanding and engagement.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and product placement.
• Assist in training new team members or supervising staff during shifts when needed.

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions confidently.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $21.37 - $25.73 per hour
