Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Wichita, KS. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and evaluating mechanical systems, developing machine designs, creating models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, and performing research and development (R&D) tasks to support innovation. The role also includes project management responsibilities, requiring coordination of technical activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
- Experience in Machine Design and the ability to deliver creative design solutions
- Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for drafting and modeling
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques and experience in coordinating multidimensional projects
- Background in Research and Development (R&D) to support innovation and product improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years experience.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industry standards is a plus
