Senior Accountant
Location: Longmont, Colorado (On-site, full-time)
Compensation: $70k to 85k per year

As we expand, we’re seeking an Accountant who can handle our accounting and financial operations and help strengthen our internal processes.
About the Role
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a dynamic small-business environment. You’ll handle day-to-day accounting and financial tasks, human resource responsibilities, and administrative duties. If you have the drive to improve our processes and become a key player on our leadership team, this is the job for you.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger activities
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor and customer communication
- Meet with management weekly to discuss current and projected cash flow
- Ensure financial accuracy and maintain/strengthen internal controls
- Prepare and submit local and state tax filings (sales/use tax, property tax, etc.)
- Support financial planning and analysis, assist with budgets and forecasts
- Manage close processes monthly and yearly, and coordinate with external CPA
- Prepare monthly financial statements, and support management with financial insights
- Help manage payroll, employee benefits, and HR recordkeeping (in coordination with our payroll provider)
- Support with staff hiring
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
- Assist with internal administrative tasks and continuous process improvement
- Complete annual insurance reviews and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5 years of broad accounting experience, preferably with discrete manufacturing
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, Excel, and general accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience including cost accounting and inventory
- Familiarity with payroll processing and HR administration
