All about the role:
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for developing and sustaining best practices that ensure accurate, timely, and controlled management of inventory across the plant. This role leads a team focused on inventory accuracy, discrepancy resolution, and cross-functional collaboration, while driving continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and scrap handling.

This position will be based in Springfield, TN.
What you’ll do:
Lead, coach, and develop the Inventory Control team, including Inventory Liaisons and Investigators, while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Establish, maintain, and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, standard work, and governance processes to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory transactions, reporting, and system data within JDE and other inventory management systems.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, variances, and transactional issues using root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.
Manage scrap processing, inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities to ensure timely execution and accurate reporting.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow optimization, labor efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings.
Monitor, analyze, and report KPI performance, including inventory accuracy, adjustments, scrap, transaction compliance, and operational efficiency metrics.
Develop dashboards, reports, training materials, SOPs, and escalation processes using tools such as Excel and Power BI to improve visibility and process consistency.
Support internal and external audits, lead structured problem-solving efforts, and provide data-driven recommendations to strengthen inventory management and business performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in inventory control, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or supply chain environments.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience with a proven ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools, with JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and lookup functions) and working knowledge of Power BI and reporting tools.
Demonstrated strengths in data-driven decision making, problem solving, collaboration, communication, and attention to detail in a fast-paced operational environment.
