OVERVIEW

Electrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) is a new, state-of-the-art beverage manufacturing facility in Waco, TX. The 640,000 sqft. Facility is situated in the Texas Central Industrial Park and will be operating on a 24/7 schedule. The facility will manufacture and distribute the 26 flavors of ElectrolitTM - the fastest growing isotonic hydration beverage in the US.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of Operations Shift Lead is to support the daily operation of the manufacturing floor. This role is responsible for coordinating shift activities, ensuring that safety, quality, and production goals are consistently achieved, and serving as a point of leadership for production team members. This position will be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Production Supervisor to oversee shift operations and meet safety, quality, and throughput targets.
  • Provide clear communication during shift handoffs, identifying ongoing challenges and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular floor walks to verify compliance with safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with production line setup, batching (if applicable), execution of scheduled changeovers and operate machine if coverage is needed.
  • Verify raw materials and packaging are available, accurate, and properly staged for upcoming runs; perform quality checks following changeovers.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activity, including system updates (ERP/WMS/LMS) and shift reports.
  • Monitor line performance, track downtime events, and escalate issues according to established procedures.
  • Act as a resource and first point of contact for production team members, providing guidance and reinforcing GMP and food safety standards.
  • Support supervisor in training and developing team members to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and all applicable legal/food safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Job performance will be assessed using measurable metrics, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Production output and throughput targets.
  • Accuracy and quality rates.
  • Adherence to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Equipment uptime, utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • On-time completion and schedule adherence.
  • Participation in and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • 3 years in a leadership or team lead role, with responsibility for people or process oversight.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across shifts and departments.
  • Fluency in English is required, Spanish a plus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment within a beverage manufacturing facility. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, automated and manual production equipment, wet or humid conditions, temperature variations, and moderate to high noise levels. Employees may be required to work on elevated work surfaces, platforms, ladders, or stairs, and in or around confined or restricted spaces in accordance with applicable safety procedures and training. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn at all times while on the production floor or in designated work areas, in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, balance, push, pull, and use hands and arms to operate machinery, tools, and equipment. The role involves repetitive motions, sustained physical activity, and maintaining situational awareness in a dynamic production environment. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Work schedules may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and/or holidays based on production demands.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
