Electro Standards Laboratories, a Rhode Island–based engineering and manufacturing company with over 45 years of innovation, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop advanced electronic hardware products, contributing to technologies that support the U.S. Department of Defense and commercial industries.
This position offers the opportunity to work across hardware, firmware, and software integration while collaborating with a team of skilled engineers in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design digital and analog hardware, including CPLD programmable logic.
- Development of power electronic converters.
- Develop and modify firmware and control applications for new and existing products.
- Conduct research and document results, product updates, and design modifications.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers on product development.
- Manage project timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery.
- Ensure all designs meet high standards of reliability and quality.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to Department of Defense contract requirements).
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with firmware programming and CPLD programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with Altium Designer (or equivalent schematic capture software).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Knowledge of Simulink/Matlab, DSP-based systems, and power electronics is a plus.
