Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist (CMMC Level 2 & AS9100)
Full-time | Electronics Manufacturing | 100% On-site
We are seeking a hands-on Specialist to manage quality assurance and data security directly on our manufacturing floor. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will execute day-to-day quality procedures for ISO 9001 and AS9100, while administering the CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity practices required to safeguard our engineering and production networks. This is a fully on-site, individual contributor role bridging physical electronics manufacturing and digital defense compliance.
NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to our work with the U.S. Department of Defense.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce shop floor compliance: Monitor production and assembly processes to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 and AS9100 aerospace standards.
- Execute CMMC practices: Maintain the 110 technical and physical security controls required for CMMC Level 2 across our local engineering networks and workstations.
- Protect manufacturing data: Oversee the secure handling, physical labeling, and digital storage of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and technical blueprints.
- Gather audit artifacts: Collect, organize, and maintain strict physical and digital evidence for C3PAO and AS9100 registrar audits.
- Maintain documentation: Update the facility's System Security Plan (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), calibration logs, and quality manuals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing QA background: Strong operational familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 frameworks within an electronics or industrial production environment.
- CMMC Level 2 technical knowledge: Practical experience applying NIST SP 800-171 controls to engineering workstations, manufacturing software, or networks.
- Engineering background preferred: Prior experience or educational background in engineering is highly helpful for interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
- Physical & digital security: Understanding of shop-floor physical access limitations alongside digital data segmentation.
- Artifact management: Proven capability to compile strict compliance logs, device tracking history, and quality inspection reports.
- US Citizenship: Required due to regular handling of federal defense blueprints and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
