What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker/ Electroplater position at Electro-Spec, Inc.?
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that parts are electroplated to customers specifications. Ability to read, understand , and follow work order instructions for each job
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, and troubleshooting guides.
- Must be able to follow established processes and procedures, when plating parts on the line.
- Set up plating equipment based on specifications on job order
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities while staying organized and applying logical thinking skills.
- Use computer and basic computer programs as they pertain to job function
- Visual inspection of equipment, structures, or material to identify any problems or errors while reporting issues to the appropriate department. .
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Perform 6S for work area
- Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean work area
- Maintain a high level of performance
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, repetitively
- Ability to use and understand micrometers and calipers
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to thrive in a team environment
