The CNC Machine Maintenance Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains complex manufacturing equipment like CNC mills, lathes, 5-axis machines, lasers, and waterjets. Their core objective is to ensure operational reliability, maximize uptime, and minimize production downtime by resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
Job Requirements:
- Supervise all daily shipping activities for domestic and international shipments
- Coordinate outgoing shipments to meet strict JIT customer delivery schedules
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, staging, and documentation of all shipments
- Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Inventory, and Sales to prioritize shipments based on customer demand
- Coordinate LTL, FTL, parcel, air freight, expedited freight, and overseas freight shipments
- Verify shipping paperwork accuracy including packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, export documentation, and customer-specific compliance documents
- Maintain shipping visibility and communication across departments
- Independently schedule freight pickups and coordinate directly with carriers and logistics providers
- Coordinate crating requirements for domestic and international shipments
- Order and manage outside crating services and materials when required
- Ensure large, sensitive, or export-controlled products are properly protected for shipment
- Supervise the receipt and verification of raw materials, machined components, fabricated parts, purchased parts, office supplies, and outside service returns
- Ensure incoming materials are properly identified with item numbers and purchase order numbers
- Coordinate with Quality Control for inspection and material flow
- Ensure materials are routed and transacted properly within the ERP system
- Utilize and oversee transactions within the company ERP system, Syteline
- Learn and maintain customer shipping portals and compliance systems including OTM and ClearOrbit
- Coordinate shipments to customer and vendor locations throughout the United States, Europe, and China Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Education:
- Education & Experience: Typically requires a High School diploma/GED plus 1–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, or a technical/associate degree in electronics or electro-mechanics.
- Physical Demands: Involves frequent standing, bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in manufacturing, assembly, or machine shop environments.
- Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 3:30, but require flexibility for overtime to support emergency repairs.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical aptitude and deep understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Controls Knowledge: Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), ladder logic, and CNC controller systems.
- Tooling: Experience utilizing precision measurement tools, multimeters, and standard/specialized shop tools.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA regulations.
Physical Demands (details based on primary work location noted above):
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend, and regularly wear safety PPE properly, such as respirators, hearing and eye protection, and safety footwear. Required to be standing for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
