This position will be required to perform tasks involving aerial and ground electric work at construction/service sites, operate aerial truck and other associated equipment and handle electrical line components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain and repair overhead distributionString new wire and maintain existing wireInstall and maintain insulators, transformers, switches, cutouts, capacitors, and other distribution equipmentInstall and maintain underground distribution systemsPerform energized and de-energized line work using proper tools, PPE, and approved work methodsRead and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and work ordersOperate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other specialized utility equipment safely and efficientlyClimb poles and work at elevated heights using approved climbing gear and fall-protection equipmentConduct field work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowParticipate in on-call rotations, storm response, and after-hours restoration work as neededSet up service for customers, including installing, connecting, testing, and adjusting equipmentCommunicate effectively with superintendents, area managers, coworkers, and customersMaintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWork collaboratively with crew members to complete tasks safely and efficientlySupport training and skill development for apprentices and lower-level linemenDemonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality workmanshipPrioritize safety in all tasks and work environmentsFollow OSHA, NESC, DOT, and company safety standards, including minimum approach distancesParticipate in daily job briefings, tailboards, and hazard assessmentsInspect tools, equipment, and PPE to ensure safe operationMaintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Position Requirements
Journeyman - Class A Lineman certification requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Journeyman LinemanExperience performing energized and de-energized line work requiredValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordValid CDL-A strongly requiredAbility to pass a DOT physicalAbility to obtain and maintain company-required safety and equipment certificationsAbility to climb poles and work at elevated heights for extended periodsAbility to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment consistent with industry standardsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsProficiency in operating bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related utility equipmentWillingness to participate in storm restoration, emergency callouts, and extended-hour assignmentsAbility to travel regionally as needed for project or storm support
