II. Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining all equipment related to production. Perform PM on all equipment in a timely manner & repair of breakdowns of equipment as required. Assist to ensure that parts/supplies are kept at sufficient levels. Provide training to any new maintenance technicians that may begin employment.
III. Job Duties:
Participates in customer satisfaction and cost reduction by insuring timely availability of production equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance for equipment and building.
Assist with organizing inventory and availability of spare parts in house.
Generally, organize and conduct maintenance activities according to the relevant quality systems and to the best standard of Electricfil Automotive.
Equipment Start-up: Participate in set-up, including validation.
Participate in the training of operators
Participate in completing entire workstation set up to meet quality specifications
Follow-up on critical parameters related to product and manufacturing
Propose improvements to existing workstations
IV. Contacts (Internal & External Customers):
· (Internally) Individual will interface with management & all levels of personnel within the organization.
· (Internally) Individual will work closely with the production, engineering and quality departments on projects related to equipment, building and process improvements.
· (Externally) Individual will interface with customer and vendor representatives. This will include participation in customer audits and visits as requested.
V. Job Specifications (Education, Experience, Specific Skills):
· High School Diploma
· Maintenance and manufacturing experience
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
· Injection molding and tooling experience is preferred.
VI. Accountabilities:
· Keeps building and equipment in good working order
· Keeps inventory and parts supply for shop
· Complies with all preventative maintenance schedules
· Reviews and improves team efficiency.
· Assist maintenance team members to improve competencies
· Ensures compliance with all applicable plant, human resources, safety and quality procedures.
· Knows and follows the requirements of the system for the management of quality.
· Informs of all issues affecting the quality of the products or of the processes as well of all potential issue that may create a safety or environmental hazard.
· Participates on work teams for quality, production & environmental improvements.
· Work with outside contractors who may be working on maintenance activities
Start up – Short-Term Missions:
· Train in Franceand/or with trained personnel on-site
· Become familiar with all equipment and processes
· Equipment installation and training
VII. Supplemental Requirements for Advancement:
· Additional training on all future equipment to be received at EFC.
· Additional software training as needed (examples, Allen Bradley & Telemacanique PLC programming and trouble shooting)
VIII. Quality:
· Each technician is responsible to make sure that the quality of the product is meeting the expected level.
IX. Authority:
- Make recommendations relating to maintenance team members and/or building and equipment for improvements. Make recommendations and communicate regularly with Maintenance Manager, Production Manager and other EFC team members.
- All employees have a quality and safety responsibility; therefore, having the authority to stop work processes to correct quality and/or safety problems, or quarantine items in the appropriate designated area until the issues are resolved.
