JOB TITLE: Account Manager - Outside Sales

Location: Connecticut/Western MA

Reports to: Vice President

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and expanding sales with assigned customer accounts in the Connecticut and Western MA territory; meets or exceeds established sales goals; works closely with Senior Management, ESS/Exposure Inside Sales Teams, and our manufacturers as required to build revenue and market share; responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner; participates in industry events, trade shows and other promotional programs. The ideal candidate is organized, likes to travel, likes building new relationships, and takes pride in managing his/her own territory.

This is a salaried position paid bi-weekly with annual performance bonus.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and expands C&I customer base within the electrical construction industry to exceed year over year growth.
  • Conducts in person meetings to present new products, identify new opportunities, follow-up on open opportunities, and find ways to support his/her customer base.
  • Communicates with inside sales and quotations on all project opportunities and in-process jobs; works closely with factories on pricing and utilizes technical knowledge and relationships to close sales opportunities.
  • Responds to customer inquiries in a timely manner, trouble-shoots projects, educates customers, and supplies physical and digital product literature.
  • Maintains exceptional working relationship with manufacturers.
  • Organizes and/or participates in promotional programs and trade shows; actively participates in industry events and promotional events.
  • Implement strategic sales programs at key accounts.
  • Utilize internal sales resources/CRM’s, i.e., Salesforce.com.
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and opportunities in designated territory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to identify and leverage sales opportunities for ESS/Exposure.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, ESS/Exposure personnel and factory personnel in both written and oral communications.
  • Ability to build and maintain exceptional customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Work overtime to meet deadlines as necessary.

Qualifications:

Sales background preferred. Efficiency in Microsoft office and Sales CRM preferred. Self-motivated and driven work ethic a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
