What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer III/IV position at Electrical Power Products?
The grid is only as reliable as the equipment behind it. Every relay panel and control enclosure that leaves our floor supports the generation, transmission, and distribution systems people depend on every day. At EP², that reliability starts with disciplined engineering.
As a member of the EP² Engineering Group, you will design the AC and DC protection and control systems at the heart of substations and power stations for utility, generation, and industrial customers. You will take a customer specification and turn it into a complete, buildable, testable design, and then stay with it through fabrication and testing. You will see your work go from a blank sheet to an energized panel in a matter of weeks.
Responsibilities
• Design AC and DC schematics and wiring diagrams for relay panels and control enclosures.
• Perform control enclosure design from the electrical perspective: device layout, terminal and wireway arrangement, wire routing, panel space, and heat load.
• Review the schematic and enclosure work of other engineers.
• Interpret customer specifications and one-line diagrams into complete design packages.
• Ensure drawings conform to the highest industry quality standards and to internal design standards.
• Review subcontractor and customer-furnished designs for accuracy and conformance to specification.
• Provide technical expertise to customers, Project Management, Sales, and Fabrication.
