Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects and manage a team of electricians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction, and project management. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to supervise and train team members effectively. The Lead Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
- Manage electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize Fieldwire software for project management and scheduling.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments for electrical work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Build strong relationships with contractors and other stakeholders to facilitate project success.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is preferred.
- Experience using ProCore and Primavera software for project management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.65 - $42.00 per hour
