Electrical Automation Services is seeking a mid-level Electrical Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing and facilities operations. The technician will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on electrical, control, and building systems to ensure reliable production and safe facility operation.Primary responsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and control system issues on production equipment and facility infrastructure with limited supervision.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives (VFDs), starters, transformers, breakers, panelboards, lighting, and power distribution systems.Service and maintain control systems including PLCs, HMIs, I/O modules, sensors, and associated wiring and terminations; (troubleshooting experience is enough)Maintain facility systems such as HVAC controls, emergency power systems, lighting, compressed air electrical interfaces, and other building electrical components.Install, modify, and wire control panels, conduit, raceways, and grounding in compliance with electrical codes and company standards.Follow standard work orders and CMMS/EAM procedures to document work, update asset histories, and close work orders accurately and timely.Respond to maintenance calls and production outages promptly; work collaboratively with operations to restore production and implement interim and root-cause solutions.Coach and provide technical guidance to junior technicians and apprentices; escalate complex issues to engineering as appropriate.Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives, including root-cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and preventive maintenance optimization.Adhere to all EHS and FS&Q policies; identify and report hazards, participate in safety programs, and enforce safe work practices such as lockout/tagout and arc-flash procedures.Work a flexible schedule as required, including nights, weekends, and holiday shifts when necessary.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required. Completion of a 2-year technical trade program, vocational training, military electrical training, or Journeyman Electrician credential preferred.35 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial electrical maintenance with exposure to both production equipment and facility systems. Middle-level technician experience preferred.Hands-on experience with motors, drives (VFDs), motor control centers, relays, contactors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial electrical components.Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams; familiarity with ladder logic and basic PLC troubleshooting.Proficient using electrical test equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter, insulation tester); ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.Experience working with CMMS/EAM systems to manage work orders and maintenance records.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Effective verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with operations, engineering, and management.Electrical safety training (e.g., NFPA 70E), lockout/tagout, and confined space awareness preferred.Physical and work environmentRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces.May be exposed to high and low temperatures, noise, and moving production equipment; appropriate PPE must be used.
