What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift position at Electrical Automation Services?
Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with Star & Delta motor starter configurations.
- Capability to reverse the rotation of AC Motors.
- Proficient in reading and utilizing a multimeter.
- Knowledge of AC and DC applications.
- Understanding of Control and Power Circuits.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing 24V and 120V electrical shorts and ground faults.
- Comprehension of electrical concepts and components such as motors, inductors, transformers, capacitors, and resistors.
- Ability to identify various sensor types and their applications (inductive, capacitive, digital, analog, etc.).
- Knowledge of relay logic including ice cube relays, timers, and counters.
- Understanding of motor starters, including coil wires, contacts, auxiliaries, holding contacts, and overloads.
- Experience with troubleshooting 480V, 277V, 208V, and 120V systems.
- Knowledge of safety relays and their interaction with controlling equipment (light curtains, safety switches, emergency stops).
- Aptitude for interpreting complex electrical schematics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a bakery or food production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in an industrial setting.
