Electric RAYS Tanning is looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined problem-solver to join our team as a Studio Equipment & Maintenance Technician. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys fixing things, working with their hands, and making a real impact across multiple locations.

The Studio Equipment & Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping our studios operational, safe, and client ready. You’ll support both equipment maintenance and general building upkeep, traveling between studio locations and working closely with corporate staff.

This role reports directly to the Founder/CEO and requires comfort with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving in an active studio environment.

This is a part-time, hourly position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on business needs and performance.

Schedule & Travel:

• Part-time, hourly position

• Scheduled workdays: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

• Occasional evenings, overnights, or weekends may be required for urgent repairs

• Regular travel between studio locations; company vehicle provided

• Flexible work schedule

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Performing routine equipment maintenance, including changing bulbs/lamps, replacing parts, and making mechanical adjustments

• Troubleshooting equipment issues and determining appropriate solutions

• Completing minor repairs and maintenance on tanning and studio equipment

• Supporting internal cleaning and servicing of equipment components that cannot be accessed from the exterior

• Performing general facility and building maintenance, including:

• Door handle and hardware repairs

• Changing ceiling lights and fixtures

• Hanging or securing shelves, mirrors, and wall-mounted items

• Minor repairs to studio fixtures and finishes

• Coordinating with vendors or technical support when issues require escalation

• Following preventative maintenance schedules and documenting work performed

• Identifying recurring issues and communicating trends or concerns to leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• Mechanically inclined with hands-on maintenance experience

• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work (no certifications required)

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Reliable, professional, and respectful when working in studios

• Comfortable lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment parts

• Able to work in tight or enclosed spaces as needed

• Willing to learn tanning and sun spa equipment maintenance
